After applying online, you’ll have a 30–60 minute phone interview to discuss the process, answer questions, review eligibility, and decide whether moving forward feels right.

You’ll begin with a consultation to discuss your family-building goals, answer questions, and learn what to expect. Once your application is complete, we’ll begin preparing for matching.

Your fertility clinic ensures everyone is medically ready for the next step.

After a successful match and psychological evaluation, your surrogate travels to your IVF clinic for medical screening, including a physical exam, lab testing, and any additional evaluations required by your physician. Her partner, if applicable, also completes required lab testing.​

Once pregnancy is confirmed, the journey truly begins.

​Throughout pregnancy, Kindred stays closely connected with both intended parents and the surrogate, providing ongoing communication, coordinating milestones, and offering support whenever it's needed. Our goal is to ensure everyone feels informed, connected, and cared for every step of the way.

​Before matching, every prospective surrogate completes screening that includes a medical-records review, background checks, a home assessment, and insurance review. Medical and psychological screening are completed together to support everyone’s health, safety, and readiness.

Separate attorneys represent the intended parents and the surrogate to prepare a legal agreement outlining responsibilities, expectations, compensation, communication preferences, and other important decisions. Once the agreement is finalized and signed, the medical process can begin.

The surrogate begins medications to prepare for embryo transfer while the clinic closely monitors her progress. Once conditions are ideal, the embryo is transferred during a simple outpatient procedure, followed by the two-week wait before pregnancy is confirmed.
