Kindred is a full-service, relationship-first surrogacy agency built around support, connection, and community. We believe surrogacy is one of the most meaningful journeys a person can take, and that every surrogate and intended parent deserves to feel heard, respected, and genuinely cared for from the very first conversation.
We match intended parents and gestational surrogates thoughtfully, on compatibility rather than availability alone. Then we walk beside both of them with transparency, empathy, and hands-on guidance, before, during, and long after the journey.
Safe, accessible, and ethical surrogacy is our highest priority, and we are proud to help people from all over the world become parents. Same-sex couples, single parents, families navigating a medical diagnosis, and intended parents outside the United States all have a place here.

The Story Behind Kindred
Kindred began with a relationship. Here's how our Co-Founder, Chelsee, turned her experience into a mission to support and empower others.
→ A Life Changing Match
Chelsee became a gestational surrogate with a simple goal: to help another family experience the joy of parenthood. During that journey, she was matched with Joy, an intended mother hoping to grow her family through surrogacy. What began as a match quickly grew into a friendship that would change both of their lives.
→ More Than a Pregnancy
Throughout the journey, Chelsee and Joy built a relationship rooted in trust, honesty, and genuine care for one another. Together, they experienced what surrogacy could be when everyone feels supported, respected, and connected. Their journey resulted in not just one, but two healthy babies carried through surrogacy, and a lifelong friendship neither of them expected.
→ Seeing the Gaps
As meaningful as the experience was, Chelsee also saw the gaps that can exist in the surrogacy process. While support was plentiful during pregnancy, it could fade after delivery, leaving surrogates to navigate the emotional and physical postpartum period with little guidance. She believed surrogates deserved to feel just as supported after delivery as they did throughout the journey.

Inspired by everything they had experienced together, Chelsee and Joy began asking a simple question: What if surrogacy felt more personal? What if intended parents and surrogates received the same level of support before, during, and after the journey? That question became the foundation for Kindred.

In 2017, Kindred Surrogacy was founded with a relationship-first philosophy rooted in lived experience. Created by both a gestational surrogate and an intended mother, Kindred was designed to provide thoughtful matches, personalized guidance, and lasting support for everyone involved.
