Our Founder
Kindred began with Chelsee's own surrogacy journey. After carrying for an intended mother who would later become her business partner, she saw firsthand how meaningful surrogacy could be and where families and surrogates deserved more support.
Together, they founded Kindred with a simple mission: to create an agency built on relationships, personalized care, and support that continues long after delivery.

Ursila McFadden is a 3x experienced surrogate and all-around lover of the surrogacy community, joining our team in May 2018. As Director of Case Management, she works tirelessly to support our surrogates and intended parents throughout their journeys, gaining lifelong friends along the way. Upon matching, you will find Ursila at all stages of the process. She works with both the surrogate and intended parents during medical screening, contracts, transfer, pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. She brings her first-hand knowledge of the process and does her best to ensure that every encounter is seamless and filled with love and compassion.
Bekah's path to the surrogacy world started with her own journey as a surrogate. What began as a personal experience quickly turned into a calling she couldn't walk away from. Having been in the surrogate's shoes herself, she gets how exciting, emotional, and downright weird the whole process can be. And how much it helps to have someone in your corner who actually gets it. Now as Kindred’s Program Director, Bekah keeps an eye on the big picture. She partners with intended parents, surrogates, and every part of our team to help solve problems, tackle roadblocks, and make sure no one ever feels alone in the process. Having worked in both intake and case management, she knows firsthand just how many moving parts go into every single journey. For Bekah, the heart of the job is the people. Whether she’s celebrating a milestone or helping handle a stressful curveball, she’s here to make sure everyone feels supported, heard, and genuinely cared for from start to finish.
Kat is an experienced surrogate currently on her second journey. She joined the Kindred team in early 2025 after completing her first journey in 2023. As a Journey Coordinator, Kat works with surrogates and intended parents from match all the way through post-birth. She helps with all the moving parts that come with a journey, including medical appointments, records, insurance, travel, legal documents, and all the random little things that seem to pop up along the way. You’ll usually find her tracking down medical records, helping a surrogate find a new OB, scheduling appointments, coordinating travel, answering questions, or keeping everything organized in one of her many spreadsheets. Since Kat has been through a journey herself, she knows firsthand how exciting, overwhelming, and sometimes just plain confusing the process can be. She loves being able to be part of so many different journeys, and watching families grow is easily one of her favorite parts of the job.
Taylor is an experienced surrogate who loves helping others learn more about surrogacy and feel confident in the process. She joined the Kindred team in 2025 and has a real passion for supporting other surrogates. Having been through the journey herself, she understands how many questions can come up along the way and enjoys being someone people can turn to for guidance and support. As Intake & Marketing Manager at Kindred, Taylor helps guide new surrogates through those first steps. She handles the intake process, helps with applications and profiles, creates content, and works closely with the team to make sure each surrogate feels informed and prepared before moving forward to matching. Taylor brings a mix of organization, creativity, and a personal understanding of surrogacy to her role. She believes the beginning of the journey should feel welcoming, straightforward, and supportive, and she loves helping surrogates take that first step with confidence.
Jessica is a two-time surrogate with Kindred and is currently on her third journey. She joined the Kindred team in May 2023 and has a real passion for supporting other surrogates and helping people understand what the surrogacy process is really like. She especially loves connecting with other surrogates and being part of the Kindred community. As Intake & Marketing Coordinator, Jessica is often one of the first people a new surrogate gets to know at Kindred. She helps guide surrogates through the intake process, answers questions, shares her own experience, and helps them feel comfortable and informed as they get started. She also leads monthly support groups for Kindred surrogates, creating a space for them to connect, share experiences, ask questions, and support one another throughout their journeys. Because she has been through surrogacy herself, Jessica understands how important it is to have someone who will listen, answer questions, and make you feel supported. She brings that personal experience and genuine care to everything she does at Kindred.
